Sandra Bullock has donated a million dollars for the victims of the Haitian earthquake. “The Blind Side” actress, who recently won Best Actress at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, has pledged the generous amount for the catastrophe relief.

Her contribution will go to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) emergency operations in Port-Au-Prince.

She said in a statement, “I wanted to ensure that my donation would be used immediately to meet the needs of the Haitian people affected by this catastrophic event.”

“House” star Olivia Wilde is also helping out by auctioning her Golden Globe dress. The 25-year-old actress is putting her Gucci dress up for sale for Artists for Peace and Justice, a group that has been funding Haiti hospitals, schools and orphanages.

Last week, power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also donated $1 million through their Jolie-Pitt foundation to the cause.

Wyclef Jean has been raising funds for his fellow Haitians through his Yele foundation, while George Clooney is setting up a telethon event for the earthquake victims.
