Universal Pictures is burning rubber and other road racing related puns for another chapter of Fast and Furious according to Variety. At the minute it is being called Fast Five, but I imagine that will be changed.

Vin Diesel is taking time out from talking about The Chronicles of Riddick to star in it along with Paul Walker. Director Justin Lin and producer Neal Moritz will also return. Basically, the series of films is making a load of money so they’ll keep on keeping on.

Diesel and Walker didn’t feature in the third film returned for last year’s fourth installment, which was the highest-grossing “Fast and Furious” film and Universal’s top earner of 2009 making more than $350 million worldwide.

The story follows Dom (Diesel) and Brian (Walker) as fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen.

Shooting this year for a 2011 release.
