Clash of the Titans ruling Box office

Avatar star Sam Worthington‘s Clash of the Titans is ruling Box office this weekend.

The adventure epic has earned $61.4 million setting a record for an Easter release, said distributor Warner Bros Pictures. Knocking How to Train Your Dragon from the top spot in a fierce battle over the nation’s limited 3D resources.

The mythological odyssey starring Sam Worthington as the heroic Perseus and Ralph Fiennes as the villainous Hades is drawing a strong $61.4 million over the weekend. ‘Clash’ rode a holiday surge to capture the top spot on this weekend’s charts.

Gerard Butler Worried about his Scottish Accent

Scottish star Gerard Butler is worried about his Scottish accent and didn’t fell Scottish enough. He thinks his native accent lends itself well to warrior roles, but was worried it wasn’t strong enough for his new movie.

The actor voices a Viking in new animated adventure ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ and although he believes his natural dialect was perfect for the role, he was worried it had softened too much from living in the US,

‘This was the only movie that I’ve ever made or will make, that after watching it for the first time, made me realize that my accent was not Scottish enough. I was like, ‘What is that?’ I was stuck in the middle, so I felt that it needed a bit more,’ he said.

‘I think a strong Celtic accent lends itself to Viking-ness, or any kind of warrior breed. It was the same in ‘300′ as well,’ he added.

How to Train Your Dragon is a computer-animated film by DreamWorks Animation loosely based on the 2003 book of that same title. The film stars the voice of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Gerard Butler, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Craig Ferguson. The film is scheduled to be released on March 26, 2010.

The story centers around a viking teenager named Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen’s smarts and offbeat sense of humor is disliked by his tribe and its chief, Hiccup’s father, Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler). However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter. After he entangles a dragon with bolas-shooting cannon, Hiccup releases and ends up befriending the dragon, who he dubs with the name, Toothless. This relationship flips his world upside down as he strives to convince his tribe that they don’t need to be dragon-slayers.

Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds voices -The Croods

Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds will voice the CG cavemen in DreamWorks Animation’s The Croods, a comedy that pits a prehistoric patriarch (Cage) against a forward-thinking outsider (Reynolds).

Cage stars as Crug, who cautiously leads his family beyond his comfort zone after an earthquake destroys their home. They end up meeting Reynolds’ nomad, who charms them all apart from Crug who isn’t happy with Reynolds’ intentions to his daughter.

Kirk DeMicco (Space Chimps) will co-write and direct with Chris Sanders (Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon)
